He is survived by: his son Clarence "TJ" Edward Thornton, Jr. (Allison) of Supply; his brother Lawrence Thornton of Fayetteville, NC; and his grandchildren, Brittany Thornton, Peyton Workman and Khloe Workman (Nicholas Thornton).
