He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Augustus and Nellie Bailey McGowan; and his children, Angela McGowan Faulkenberry and Randy McGowan. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Sellers McGowan; his daughters, Janine McGowan Dennis of Conway, SC. and Barbara "Barb" Peeples (Vince) of Myrtle Beach, SC.; his sister Kathy McGowan Williams; his nephew Chris; his niece Jennifer; his brother-in-law Wayne Johnson (Tracy); his nieces, Christi Hefner (Johnny), Coty, Janna, Pam Johnson (Joe), Lee, Brooklynn, Hope Williams (James), Jamie and Lillaian; his nephew Jerry Sellers (Robin); his daughter-in-law Lisa McGowan; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Dennis, Jordan Barkley (Jessica), Jared Barkley (Shelby), Marshall Watson, Shakiyra White (Tommy), Ashley McGowan (Tyler), Randall McGowan and Josh McGowan (Nikki); and his great grandchildren, Sarah, Carson, Landon, Justin, Angela and Chole.
