She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Malcolm Stephens, Sr. and Myrtie Ward Stephens of Hallsboro, NC.; her brothers, Leroy Malcolm Stephens (Mac) of Hallsboro, NC and Charles Stancil Stephens of Cullowhee, NC; and her daughter-in-law Robin Parker Hobbs.
She is survived by: her husband James Olen Hobbs; her children, Jimmy (Rachele Hobbs), Sonya (Wayne Batten), Ronald Hobbs of Lake Waccamaw, NC and Michael (Joy Hobbs); her grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Batten (Eric), Tiffany Rachele Hobbs Wilson (Nicholas), Brandon Wayne Batten (Jessa), James S. Hobbs II, Brittany Lynn Batten Canady (Rob), Bethany Rose Hobbs Smith (Jon), Joshua Olen-Garrett Hobbs (Brooke), Augusta Bettee Hobbs Caison (Troy), Hannah Lynn Hobbs and Madeline Lee Hobbs Hewett (Cooper); and her sisters-in-law, Judy Stephens of Hallsboro and Penny Stephens Graham of Sylva, NC. She is also survived by 19 great grandchildren.
