She was predeceased by : her husband Harold; her parent Hybert "Gene" Simpson; and her mother-in-law Mary. She is survived by : her son Justin B. McCarty (April) of Sunset Beach; her grandson Colton; her son John "Jay" Johnson (Kristen) of Orange City, FL; her grandchildren, Saylor and Barron; her brother James "Jim" Simpson (Janice) of Fayetteville; her nephew Joshua; and her niece Holly Penland (Lori) of Snead's Ferry.
