She is survived by: her husband Fred Coleman Abernethy, Jr.; her daughters, Laura McNamee of Banner Elk, NC and Elizabeth "Beth" Abernethy of Calabash, NC; her brother Dan McNeill Snavely of Columbus, GA; and her nephews, Dan Snavely, Jr. and Chris Snavely.
