He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Elisha Gause Soles (William) of Longs, SC, Eric Gause (Shaunta) of Shallotte, Joy Gause of Charlotte and Ceilita Gause of Charlotte; the mother of his children Joyce Gause of Shallotte; and his siblings, Lora Gore (Delton) of Sunset Beach, Lois King (Joe) of Sunset Beach, Andy Gause (Sherry) of Ash and Grover Gause (Debra) of Fayetteville. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.
