He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Peter Donawick and Lucille Donawick; his brother Stephen Robert Donawick (Bob); his wife Margaret (Peggy); his children, Suzanne Donawick Mishler (Ken), Robert Donawick (Bob), Michael Donawick and Angela Donawick Martin (Giovonni); his stepchildren, Michael Marcellin (Leigh-Anne) and Lauren Marcellin Bell (Deakin); his grandchildren, Eric Donawick, Kevin Donawick, Derrick Reutebuch, Colette Marcellin, Alec Marcellin and Madeleine Bell; and his siblings-in-law, Tom, Margie Knight and Ann Donawick.

Gary Rosen wrote a sympathy message

“I recently learned of Mike's passing while looking for another Marine Buddy. I served with Mike in Vietnam. He was my 1st Squad Leader in Vietnam. I have a group picture of his squad. I looked for him periodically over the years but I had him as Mike Dominick. There is a Battalion Organization that would post a remembrance in our newsletter if you would be interested.
