He was predeceased by : his parents, Franklin Elias Dail and Nancy Walston Dail; his brother Wayne Dail; his former life partners, Chloe Carey Dail and Gladys Waszak Dail; and his son Franklin Carey Dail.

He is survived by : his wife Betty; his son Joey Dail (Suzanne); his sister Brenda Jean Pittman; his stepson Wesley Senn (Morrie); his grandchildren, Cara Leigh Williams (Rusty), Chris Dail (Lauren), Lindsey Blankenhorn (Richard), Joseph Dail (Whitney), Jayna Senn, Van Senn and Stephanie Senn Heath; and his great grandchildren, Haleigh Collison, Addyson Collison, Trey Williams, Hunter Williams, Kinsley Dail, Asher Dail, Ada Blankenhorn, Dawes Blankenhorn, Beatrice Blankenhorn and Hamden Dail.
