He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Daniel Carpinello, Sr. and Florence Heally Carpinello; his wife Jane Marie May Carpinello; and his siblings, James Carpinello, Florence Amodel and Julia Lull.

He is survived by: his daughters, Donna Marie Carpinello (Joe Kearney) and Lori Jane McGee (Paul); his grandchildren, Teddy Olson, Ryan McGee, Jason McGee and Joey Carpinello; his great grandchildren, Tanner, Trevor, Hunter and Grayson; his nephew Chuck Lull; and his sisters-in-law, Sue May, Bobbie Hartman, Sylvia Vadney and Deloris Savoca.
