It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Marie Friedman (Sunset Beach, North Carolina), born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 22, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Jon Lesser and Victoria Masiell Lesser. She is survived by : her husband Martin E. Friedman; her sons, Eric Friedman (Ann Marie), NJ, Kurt Friedman (Glen), Todd Friedman (Tracy) and Jon Friedman (Christine); her brother John Lesser (Carol); and her grandchildren, Carly, Evan, Jon, Austin, Megan, Noah, Tori, Ty, Aiden and Taylor.

The family request memorials be directed to SECU Hospice LifeCare "Brunswick House", 1414 Physician's Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
