He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dickson (Bill) and Vallie Davis Dickson; and his wife Inger Eriksson. He is survived by: his close friend Sharon Conway; his children, Scott Dickson and Mariel Dickson Milito; his granddaughter Emma Milito; and his former wife Linda Hammond Dickson.
