He was predeceased by: his parents, Dudley Foster King Sr. and Otelia Edwards King; his sister Jacqueline King Wigner; and his daughter Bettie Nadeen King. He is survived by: his wife Iris Rae King; his son Melton King (Serena); his sister Bettie Formyduval; his grandchildren, Ethan King (Laura) and Casey Hunter (Will); and his great grandchildren, Jeremiah James "JJ" Hunter and Lottie King.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (623 Village Rd, Shallotte, NC 28470).
