She was predeceased by : her parents, John Lynn Giles and Jean Lane Giles; and her husband Johnny Eugene Pate. She is survived by : her children, Robert Nicholas Thompson (Nicole) of Thomasville, NC, Ashley Lynn McWilliams (Bruce) of Charleston, SC and Jacob Lynn Harris of Sunset Beach, NC; her stepchildren, Thelbert Eugene Pate of Cameron, NC, Kevin Everette Pate of Cameron, NC and Kelly Pate of Sanford, NC; her brothers, Wes Giles (Karen) of Whiteville, NC and John David Giles of Lumberton, NC; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Adam), Laney, Lewyn, Alyza, Chloie, Zoey and Jaxson; her great grandchild Isla; and her pets, Belle, Amber and Ginger.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home (600 W Main St, Sanford, NC 27332). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pineywood Baptist Church Cemetery (545 Pineywood Church Rd, Cameron, NC 28326).
