He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph Raymond Inman and Amelia Thompson Inman. He is survived by : his siblings, Dick Inman, William Inman, Roger Inman, Johnny Inman, Bobby Inman and Martha Edna Smith; his wife Gwen Mavis Stone; his children, Jennifer Danford (David), Ross P. Inman (Nelson) of Raleigh and Joseph R. Inman (Karen) of Columbia, SC; his sisters, Betty I. Floyd of Fairmont, Anna Margaret Inman of Arizona and Pauline Inman Hudson of Greenville; and his grandchildren, Wayne Ferster and Ellery Quinn Inman.
