She was predeceased by : her parents, Anthony Mangano and Genoveffa Catrini Mangano; her husbands, Harry Duncan and Patrick Kane; and her son Harry Duncan, II.

She is survived by : her daughters, Pamela Batchelor (Currie) of Calabash, NC and Deborah Miller (Richard) of Salisbury, NC; her daughter-in-law Lydia Duncan; and her grandchildren, Christa Miller and Jacob Yount.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Carmela's honor to: Lower Cape Fear Hospice (Brunswick House) 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
