He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Godfrey and Hattie Godfrey. He is survived by: his siblings, Dave Jr., Roland, Louis, Laura Mae and Betty Ruth; his son Gary Alvin Godfrey (Sue); his wife Annette Lee; and his son Todd Godfrey (Becky). He is also survived by his six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Barbecue Presbyterian Church (124 Barbecue Church Rd, Sanford, NC 27332). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 12:15 PM at the same location.
