He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter and Donnie; his wife Rosenell L. Nowell; his nephew Ricky Jordan; his grandson Rashaan L. Nowell; his children, Dianne Boone (Bobby), Shelton Nowell (Rachel), Debra Parker (Robert), Walter Nowell Jr. (Darlene), Jessie Harvey (Delbert), Donald Nowell (Penny) and Odessa Elliott (James); his siblings, Donnie Jordan, George Nowell, James Nowell, Willie D. Jordan, Walsworth Nowell and Lonnie Nowell; and his friend H. B. Lilley.
He is survived by: his friend Tom Riddick of Gatesville, NC.. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
