It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elsie Hinton Tharpe of Sunbury, North Carolina, who passed away on December 16, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Welden Hinton and Neth Moody Hinton. She is survived by: her husband Willie J. Tharpe; and her children, Tracy Tharpe of Zebulon, NC and Linda Coleman of Sunbury, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren; (5) great grandchildren; (1) great great grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends.
