He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Stanley and Broaddus Stanley; his son John Rodney; his siblings, Ricky, Bobby and Belle; and his brother-in-law JT.

He is survived by: his daughters, Sue (Eddy) and Roz; his grandchildren, Blaze, Chaz, Marly and Skyler; his brother Jerry; his sister-in-law Sue; his sister Reba; and his sister-in-law Betty.

Pop loved flowers, however in lieu of them, the family asks that contributions be made to Morehead UMC, 3214 Horse Pen Creek Road, Greensboro NC 27410.
