He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McCannon and Kathleen Bisher McCannon; and his brother Joe McCannon. He is survived by: his wife Kay Hedrick McCannon; his daughter Paula M. Smith (Dewayne) of Reidsville; his siblings, George McCannon (Brenda) of Canton, Wayne McCannon of Greensboro, John McCannon of Greensboro, Madge McCannon of Greensboro and Sylvia Keaton of Greensboro; and his granddaughter Emma Kay Smith of Reidsville.
