It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard Ned Kirkpatrick Sr. of Summerfield, North Carolina, born in Danville, Virginia, who passed away on August 23, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ned Kirkpatrick and Francis Lamberth Kirkpatrick; his son Kenny Lee Kirkpatrick; and his foster parents, John Ross and Lucy Ross.
He is survived by: his wife Madelen Tilley Kirkpatrick (Maddie); his son Howard Kirkpatrick, Jr. (JR); his grandchildren, Dameon Kirkpatrick (Alissa), Charles (CJ) and Cheyenne Kirkpatrick; and his foster siblings, Thomas Ross, Wilson Ross, Johnny Ross, Guy Ross, Doug Ross, Rachel Archer and Betty Jean Myers.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Wilkerson Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
