He was predeceased by: his parents, John Grady and Mary Magdaline Thomas Davenport; his daughter Tonja Davenport; and his siblings, Pat Smith and John Davenport.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Davenport; his son Tony Davenport (Robin); his grandsons, Tyler Davenport (Annie) and Spencer Davenport; his great grandchildren, April and Virginia Davenport; and his siblings, Elaine Valentine, Vance and Donald Davenport.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Guilford County, Baptist Children's Home of North Carolina or First Baptist Church of Summerfield.
