With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donnie Dean Ellis (Summerfield, North Carolina), who passed away on March 30, 2019. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Moran Dean and Sydney Dillon Dean; her son Michael Ray Fields; her sister Polly of Ola, Helen; and her son-in-law Jimmy Swaim.
She is survived by: her husband John Ellis, Jr.; her children, John Fields, Jr. (Judith), Benny Fields (Pat), Donna Swaim and John Ellis, III (Denise); her grandchildren, Carley, Crystal, Jessica, Kenley, Benny, Forrest and Grayson; her great grandchildren, Katie, Hannah, Hayden, Aidan, Nasir and Brielend; and her brothers, Donald, Otis and Bobby.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Donnie Dean Ellis Memorial fund at The Volunteer Center of Greensboro, 1500 Yanceyville St. Greensboro, NC 27405.
