With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Andrew Hanks Sr. (Summerfield, North Carolina), who passed away on February 25, 2022 at the age of 70. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Billy Andrew Hanks Sr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raleigh Hanks and Minnie Barham Hanks; and his siblings, Betty Rudd, Mary Frances Hanks, Raleigh Hanks Jr. and James Hanks.

He is survived by: his children, Billy Andrew 'Drew Hanks Jr. (Shoshana) of Stokesdale and Maggie Hanks (Wil Bolin) of Greensboro; his grandchildren, Braxton Strickland, Rozalynn Strickland and Murry Hanks; and his sisters, Alice Hanks of Greensboro, Polly Crews of Greensboro, Frances Nelson of Greensboro and Carol Reed (Larry) of Greensboro. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
