He is survived by: his parents, Andrew Ellis and LeAnn Cole Ellis; his brother Cody Ellis; his grandparents, Larry and Peggy Ellis; his great-grandparents, Shelby Cannon of Vilas, Ina Bolick of Lenoir and Franklin Cole of Vilas; his uncle Allen Ellis (Brandi); his cousin Allie; his aunt Amber Smith; his cousins, Laci and Laythan; his uncle Chad Cole (Maria); and his cousins, Abby, Paisley, Clayton, Ethan, Nathan Bolick and Callie Bolick Sherrill. He is also survived by numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family respectfully requests no flowers, but donations can be made in Cole's honor to either the Cove Creek Chapter of the FFA or the Watauga High School Chapter of the FFA.
