He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Fitchell Claiborne and Dorothy Mae Beal Claiborne; and his brothers, Danny Phil Claiborne and Ronald Keith Claiborne. He is survived by: his wife Janet Riggan Claiborne; his daughter Tracy Claiborne Yancey (Curtis); his grandchildren, Emily Yancey Cash (Dylan), Virginia "Jenny" Rose Yancey and Curtis "Allen" Yancey; his great grandchild Presley Renee Cash; and his brothers, Randy Claiborne (Donna) and Warren Claiborne (Loretta). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
