He is survived by: his wife Estelle Chappell Slaughter; his children, Nora Slaughter Olive (Raymond) of Hillsborough, Joseph Bert Slaughter, Jr. (Brenda) of Montana, Zack Leon Slaughter of Petersburg and William Oscar Slaughter of Wilton; and his siblings, Allie Lee Slaughter Bowen of Henderson and Robert Williams Slaughter of Oxford.
