It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Sweeney Jr. (Stony Point, North Carolina), who passed away on April 1, 2019, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sr. Sweeney and Lula Belle Rose Sweeney; his former wives, Ruth Lester Sweeney and Carol Allen Sweeney; and his siblings, Bessie Kelly, Gladys Segers, Edith Salyers, Ethel Mullins, Roxie Johnson, Shurla Sweeney and Charlie Sweeney.
He is survived by: his sons, Joe Sweeney (Loretta) of Statesville, NC and David Sweeney of Seagrove, NC; his grandchildren, LeAnn Sparks (Adam) of Hiddenite, NC, Joe Sweeney (Renea) of Taylorsville, NC, Brian Keith Sweeney of Swords Creek, VA and Damian Sweeney of Seagrove, NC; and his siblings, Rosetta Rosenbaum, Frances Lester, Cleve Sweeney, Benny Sweeney and Henry Sweeney. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
