He is survived by: his mother Betty Lou Lackey (Milholland) of Stony Point; his wife Shirley Lackey (Stout); his daughters, Cristi Julsrud (Joe) of Stony Point, Bethany Lackey of Jacksonville and Amy Lackey of Asheville; his grandson Ian Julsrud of Stony Point; and his siblings, Craig Lackey (Donna) of Conover and Pamela Boatright (Charlie) of Durham.
