It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Pennell (Stony Point, North Carolina), born in Alexander, North Carolina, who passed away on February 14, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Grover Pennell; his daughter Sylvia; his stepchildren, John Clay Burgess and Juanita Burgess Worth; and his son Rick Pennell (Cindy) of Troutman.
He is survived by: his wife Lillie Blankenship Pennell; his daughter Denise Fountain (Wendell) of Vero Beach, FL; and his stepchildren, Ricky Burgess (Sharon) and Teresa High (Michael) of Hiddenite. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
