It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Edward Wellman Sr. (Stony Point, North Carolina), born in Alexander, North Carolina, who passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Howard Leslie Wellman Sr.; and his brother James F Caldwell Sr. of Stony Point. He is survived by: his children, John E Wellman Jr., Krystal D Wellman and Shonda Lackey of High Point; and his siblings, Howard Wellman Jr. "Shug" of Stony Point and Dyanne Howard (Denise Cooper Tolbert). He is also survived by four Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
