He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Henderson Nance and Mary Ruth Baker; and his sister Annette Nance. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Nance; his daughters, Christine Whitener (Shane) of Newton and Carrie Hartness (Jose) of Lenoir; and his grandchildren, Krista Zifko (Ryan), Blaine Hartness, Lindsey Hartness, Garett Payne, Bryson Payne (Rilee), Quincey Whitener and Ella Whitener.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Chapman Funeral Home (158 Stony Point School Rd, Stony Point, NC 28678).
