He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Chapman and Reba Mays Chapman; his son Rickey Alan Chapman; and his brothers, Archie, Richard and Bill Chapman.
He is survived by: his wife Genive "Dimp" Hoke Chapman; his grandchildren, Coty Alan Chapman of Stony Point, Casey Mack Chapman of Stony Point and Savanah Greene Prevette of Stony Point; and his siblings, Clyde (Chapman), Jean Lamberth of Stony Point, Judy "Teach" Payne (Phil) of Stony Point and Marie Timberlake (Ed).
