We are sad to announce that on May 21, 2021, at the age of 71, Carroll Eugene Cockrell of Stony Point, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Franklin Cockrell and Jeanne Elizabeth Patterson Cockrell. He is survived by: his grandchild Summertime Gardening; his wife Janice Adams Cockrell; his children, Adam Cockrell (Hannah Schaffer) of Hiddenite and Kylie Cockrell Hamby (Todd) of Stony Point; his grandchildren, Ava and Kyla Hamby; and his siblings, Willie Cockrell (Debi) of Hiddenite, Charlie Cockrell of Hillsborough, Steve Cockrell (Pat) of Stony Point, Mimi White of Taylorsville and Peggy Rumbold of Stony Point.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of Iredell county 2347 Simonton Rd. Statesville N.C. 28625.

“Mrs. Cockrell, Jerica just told me about your dear husband! I am deeply saddened as he was such a good man. I enjoyed our interesting conversations when I would give Mr. Cockrell breathing treatments. The last time he was in the hospital, not long ago, when I entered his room he said to me,” Do you remember me?” And, I replied, “Yes, of course I do, Carroll Cockrell!” When I was a little girl, there was a little girl who lived up the street from me, and her name is Carol Cockrell.”
