He was predeceased by: his wife Susan Daniels Gaskins; his daughter Linda Gaskins Harvill; and his brother Billy Gaskins. He is survived by: his sons, David Gaskins and Michael Gaskins (Lisa); his sisters, Sue Ireland (Jackie) and Lucille Morgan; his grandchildren, Amanda Collins (Cory), David Gaskins, Jr., Tyler Gaskins (Becky), Caitlin West (Andrew), Cheyenne Harville Bass (Dwight) and Michael Gaskins Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Jaiden Gaskins and Hendrix Gaskins.
In lieu of flowers the family suggested making memorial contributions to Pamlico Co. Primary School, 323 Neals Creek Rd., Bayboro, NC 28515.
