It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Wayne Cowden (Stonewall, North Carolina), who passed away on May 29, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Cowden and Flossie Cowden; his sister Glenda Wilson (Wilson); his former wife Elaine Gatlin Cowden of Stonewall, NC; and his wife Carol Ann Cowden.
He is survived by: his children, Dr. Nerissa Kreher (Beste) of Reading, Massachusetts, Anthony "Tony" Cowden of Harrells, NC and Christine "Christy" Street of Raleigh, NC.; his grandchildren, Alexander "Alex" Kreher and Elaina Kreher; and his former wife Katherine Bogardus.
His family requests that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, Parkinson's Foundation, Stonewall United Methodist Church, or a charity that means a great deal to you.
