He was predeceased by: his daughter Holland Cowell. He is survived by: his wife Linda Lupton Cowell; his stepson Tommy Rice; his siblings, Nathan Cowell (Raye), Dewitt Cowell (Judy), Nora Willis (Herbert) and Callaree Hoffman; his sister-in-law Susan Van Wycke; and his grandchildren, Madison Rice, Lindsey Norris and Jack Norris.
In lieu of flowers the family suggested memorial contributions be made to a charity of one' choice.
