He is survived by: his wife Mary Slaughter Burroughs; his children, Samuel Eugene Burroughs, Jr. (Adrienne) of Stoneville, Belvin Thomas (Janie) of Eden, Lisa Trant (Steve) of Stoneville and Judy Burroughs of Stoneville; and his siblings, Doris Wilkins of Stoneville, James Burroughs of Blackstone, VA, David Burroughs of Stoneville, NC and Wilma Grogan of Ridgeway, VA.. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren.
