It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Thrasher Joyce of Stoneville, North Carolina, who passed away on August 22, 2020, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Marcus Thrasher and Vista Fuller Thrasher; her husband Otis Pleasant Joyce; her sister Ann Thrasher Rakestraw; her son Dr. Robert K. Joyce (Melanie) of Elon College; her grandchildren, Courtney (Marco Flores) of Burlington, Meredith (Nicholas Newnam) of Charlotte and Hunter Joyce of Elon College; her great grandchildren, Noah and Sophia Flores; her brother-in-law Garland Rakestraw of Stoneville; and her grandfather Pete.
A family graveside service will be held due to Covid.
