It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred Oakley Leake of Stoneville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 19, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Cleveland and Edna Roberts Oakley; her husband Ralph Sanford Leake; her son Douglas Oren Leake; her siblings, Elmo Oakley, Henry Oakley, Mary Rhodes, Mabel Rhodes, Esther Durham, Ruby Nelson and Louise Oakley; her son-in-law Larry Price; and her grandson-in-law Matthew Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Winfred Leake (Cheryl), Winona Price and Edna Kovitz (Michael); her grandchildren, Laura Thomas, Kari Williamson (Jake), Melanie Price and Justin Price (Amanda); her great grandchildren, Brooks Thomas, Joel Price and Quinn Price; her sister Aileen Draper; and her caregiver Patricia Wilson.
