She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Slaughter and Callie Benton; her husband Samuel "Gene" Burroughs; her daughters, Kay Frances Burroughs Wray and Margaret McAnnally; and her siblings, Belvin Slaughter, Sam Slaughter, Naomi Delancy and Carol Slaughter.

She is survived by: her children, Samuel E. Burroughs, Jr. (Adrienne) of Stoneville, Belvin T. Burroughs (Janie) of Eden, Lisa B. Trant (Steve) of Stoneville and Judy Burroughs of Stoneville. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
