She was predeceased by: her parents, Lucille Scales and Richard Harbor; her brother Michael Ben Scales, Sr.; her daughters, Yvonne Bryson (Timmy) and Ella Hairston; her grandsons, Dominic Johnson (DJ) and Daryl Hairston, Jr. (Pookie); her sisters, Vernette Dalton (Calvin) of Eden, NC and Margaret Webster of Eden, NC; her granddaughters, Keyra Johnson and Breona Hairston; her great grandchildren, Rayne Smith, LaNiya Bowe, Ayden Johnson, Miealeah Johnson and Jahkae Ford; her uncle Jeff Scales of Stoneville, NC; and her aunts, Sarah Martin of Eden, NC, Doris Harbor and Stella Harbor.
