She was predeceased by: her parents, James Philmore and Betty Cox Ellington; her husband John Lewis Joyce, Sr.; her son John Lewis Joyce, Jr.; and her brothers, James Philmore Ellington, Jr., Thomas Jack Ellington, Albert Ellington and Vernon Ellington.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Joyce (Beverline) of Eden, Glynda Shelton of Stoneville and Annette Joyce of Stoneville; and her siblings, Roy Ellington, Gary Wayne Ellington of Stoneville, Lena Dodson, Pat Taylor of Stoneville and Betty Jo Patterson of Martinsville, VA. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
