She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Ray Smith and Nancy Belle Joyce Smith. She is survived by: her husband Ricky Durham; her daughters, Emily Marie Vernon of Eden, NC and Autumn Joan Trent of Eden, NC; her stepchildren, Rita May Martin and Rickey Wayne Durham; her siblings, Michael Ray Smith (Dorothy) of King, NC, Rhonda Shelton (Todd) of Eden, NC and Sherry Kahn (Charlie) of Madison, NC; and her nieces and nephews, Nicholas Justin Carter, Christian Kahn, Ashley Smith, Shannon Smith, Jacob Smith, Logan Wilson, Karlie Smith, Regan Stacey and Amelia Carter.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Cancer Society.
