He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Early Gray and Lena Matthews Gray; his daughter Debra; his son-in-law Tim Pratt; his grandson Timothy Pratt; and his brother Edward Gray.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Pickerel Gray; his son Jerry Gray, Sr.; his grandchildren, Jerry Gray, Jr. (Christie) and Jessica Smith (Patrick); his great grandchildren, Triton Smith, Claxton Smith, Sladon Smith and John Riley Pratt; and his sister Era Franklin (G. T.).
