She was predeceased by: her parents, Monroe Swepson and Rosa Wall Swepson; her husband Willie Catus (Bill); her brother Rubin Swepson; her son-in-law Jesse George; and her siblings-in-law, Joseph Catus, Virginia Catus and Mamie Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Williette Catus George of Madison, NC and Carole Hairston Marshall; and her grandchildren, Steven, Tomika Searcy (John), Jeremy, Nicholas, Michael and Brittany. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.
