She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Oliver Lester and Rosa Mae Bell Lester; and her siblings, Lucy Lester, Myrtle L. Watts, Ruby Lester, Roy and John Lester.
She is survived by: her sisters, Eleanor L. Purgason of Mayodan and Hilda L. Purgason of Mayodan; her sister-in-law Carolyn C. Lester (John); and her nieces and nephews, Marie, Robert Aldridge and Stoneville Christian Church. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and great-grand-nieces and nephews.
