He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Alexander Vestal and Daisy Martin Vestal; his wife Lola Linville Vestal; and his siblings, Delmar Cleon 'Bill Vestal, Calvin 'Ci Vestal, Polly 'Progue Brown and Jean 'Jess Baugess.
He is survived by: his children, Dwight David Vestal (Cindy) of Winston-Salem, Donna Faye Jones (Greg) of Forest, VA and Christopher Todd Vestal (Wanda) of Myrtle Beach; his brother Bobby J. 'Elk Vestal; his grandchildren, Ashley Vestal, Alyssa Jones, Trey Vestal (Hannah), Devin Jones, Jodi Bellamy and David Bellamy; and his great grandchildren, Sawyer, Reid, Jackson, Tanner and Brodhi.
