It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Layton Cebron Spencer (Stokesdale, North Carolina), born in Mount Airy, North Carolina, who passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Garland and Ida Throckmorton Spencer. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Smith Spencer; his daughters, Brandi Alvarez (German) of Hillsborough, Stephanie Quick (Harold) of Maxton, Sheila Smith of Columbia, SC and Ravon Jones (James) of Maxton; and his sisters, Ruth Cloninger and June Gaines (Charles). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
