It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John McCoy Bennett of Stokesdale, North Carolina, who passed away on March 3, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Bennett and Lillian Blackburn Bennett; and his siblings, Allen Bennett, June Edwards, Merrill Lucky, Richard Bennett, Peggy Young and Joyce Alford.
He is survived by: his wife Kay Ellington Bennett; his sons, Tony Michael Bennett (Beth) and Richard Duran Bennett (Susan); his grandchildren, Rebecca Grey Bennett, Zachary Scott Bennett, Christopher Scott Bennett, Emily Danielle Bennett and Ashley Nicole Bennett; and his siblings, David Bennett (Jilda), Bill Bennett (Frances) and Lynn Anderson.
